KEITH
HILL AS ROBERT PLANT
BIO
Well I heard the radio hits of Zep in the 70's like
most. Their signature songs I always thought were
amazing, but I grew up on so many different types
of music. Growing up on the east coast, my parents
would have on Elvis & Glen Cambell, Queen and
Tull would be coming from my brothers room, my sister
would be humming Nugent or Aerosmith and my younger
brother and I would jam out to everything from Disco
to Skynard.
In the late 70's, Boston's debut album had a major
impact on me followed shortly by Van Halen's first.
Years later, a team mate of mine from football had
me listen to a tape he made of Zeppelin. I remember
him saying, "did you have any idea all these
great songs were theirs"? A seed was planted
at that time, one that would not sprout till many
years later.
I played in cover and original groups the years
after graduation, one took me Los Angeles when I
was 20 and LA is where I have stayed. A Zep tune
seemed to always make the setlist regardless of
the style of music and band I was in, Immigrant
Song was one I remember always showing up.
Anyway, about a year ago or so I decided that I
just want to play great music that is timeless and
magical to me. Zeppelin fit the bill and seemed
to be the only answer for me. I called Adam who
I played with before, Jeff and Craig joined and
we called this experience......The Led.
Starting this group in early 2002, with just a love
for the songs of Zeppelin, away we went. The response
has been amazing and I realize that what moves me
about this music, moves so many others. It's a very
cool vibe at the shows and an awesome kinship we
all feel with a room full Zep Heads.
It;s funny, I am actually getting to discover some
of Zeps music for the first time. A good amount
of the songs we perform live today, I have never
heard before a year ago.....how weird is that? If
you dig Zeppelin, please come spend and evening
with us!
